Fibre inspired Art

By Jo Gough | June 14, 2012 | Category News

Lyn is exhibiting this year during Cambridge Open Studios 2012.  Her work will be on display with the Life Lines group, presented by members of a life drawing class at St Barnabas Press in Cambridge, over the last two weekends in July.

From June 15th Lyn’s work “Prime” will be shown in the Newart@Artcell exhbition at the Cancer Research UK building, on the Addenbrooke’s Hospital site, off of Long Road in Cambridge.

Fascinated by texture, "Prime" is drawn from a foray through drawing for a local handspinner and dyer. "Prime" represents the fluidity of line, the spontaneity of spinning a yarn from fibre, and calls on a muted colour palette using dyes and pigments.
