Fibre East 2012
After finding our feet at Fibre East last year, with the help of Outward Images, Spindependence are out on our own for the 2012 event.
We’ll be in Marquee C , tucked into the corner with a treasure trove of artisan created work in our continually evolving fibre exhibit. Some of our work will be for sale for you to walk away with on the day, some will be displayed for the duration of the event and posted to you later, just like a regular gallery.
The boring but necessary bit – We’re sorry we can’t accept cards payments on the day, but you will be able to leave your details with us and be invoiced via paypal at the end of the event, and your goodies posted to you as soon as your payment clears. The same applies to cheques over the value of £30.
There will be pieces from all of our contributing artists, as well as the creations of some special guests.
Joining Lyn on the Spindependence stand this year are Jo, Lesley and Norma. We’re bringing together Jo’s Secret Spinner seductive handspun lace and fingering weight yarn, Lyn’s Lindi indigo dyed silk and woollen scarves and lace weight yarns, Lesley’s FibreTastic hand spun yarn and necklaces – feather light and colourful to the extreme, and hand woven scarves and knits by Norma from Kaleidoscope. To complement these we are presenting hand-made spinner’s tools, shawl pins, threads and Machelle from Chopped Tomatoes’ wonderful recipes.knit knitter’s design journals.
We are giving back this year by selling handmade brooches of interlinked circles for our nominated charity, Macmillan.
